Width

To measure the width of a shirt, find one inch (1″) below the arm holes. Then measure the distance from each edge of the shirt.

Center Back Length

To measure the center back length (CBL), locate the exact middle point of the garment. Then starting at the seam of the neck, measure the length of the shirt down to the bottom edge of the lower hem of the shirt.

Center Back Sleeve Length

To find the center back (CB) sleeve length, locate the center point on the back of the shirt between the shoulders. From that point, measure across the shoulder and down the length of the sleeve.

Center Front Length

On the front of the garment, begin at the highest point of the shoulder (HPS). Then measure to the bottom hem of the garment. To ensure accuracy, be sure that you are beginning at the highest point of the shoulder and not the collar.

Measuring Guide General Tips

• Use a flexible, cloth tape measure to ensure the closest possible measurement.

• Do not measure yourself while wearing jeans, sweatshirts, sweatpants, or other bulky clothing.

• The tape measure should be snug but not tight, and should not dig into your skin. You should be able to fit a single finger behind the tape measure.

• Ensure the tape measure is flat against you and is not twisted.
